Disconnected Communities: The Innerbelt in Akron

May 7 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Loading Events

Two hands-on University of Akron courses focused on changes brought about by the Innerbelt’s construction. These and other lesser-known urban planning projects altered the city’s cultural landscape and the lives of Akronites. Using local archives and Geographic Information Systems, students have created digital StoryMaps that illustrate this history.

Come take a guided tour of these digital StoryMaps and talk to the students who created them.
