The Akron Pops Orchestra Family Comedy Silent Film DOUBLE FEATURE will be playing LIVE for one night only. The Akron Pops Orchestra under the direction of conductor Victor T. Anstine will perform authentic silent movie music with the silent films “Seven Chances”, a Buster Keaton comedy from 1925 starring Ruth Dwyer, T. Roy Barnes, Snitz Edwards and “The Electric House, directed by Edward F. Cline, A 1922 Buster Keaton silent comedy starring Virginia Fox and Joe Roberts.
Performing jazz, waltzes, marches, authentic music featured in silent films, in addition to Josef Rheinberger’s Finale from his Organ Concerto No. 1 in F Major, and Hector Berlioz’s Te Deum, featuring organist Cindy Braun on the Civic’s Grand Wurlitzer Theatre Organ will also be featured to bring these Keaton classics to life!
